We start the day, ready? Here we go, with energy! ☀️
In this capital, every person recognized as a “good malagueño” begins their day with a peculiar breakfast. What is it? Prepare your palates because you will love the pitufo mixto. 🤗
The pitufo mixto is a sandwich/sandwhich is buttered on the inside and filled with melted cheese and York ham. Also, you cannot miss a good coffee, which one? In Malaga you can choose between 10 different types of coffee with very peculiar names such as: Shadow coffee (20% coffee, 80% milk), Cloud coffee (10% coffee, 90% milk) or Half coffee (50% coffee, 50% milk).
Once we have enjoyed this delicious breakfast, we will visit the Atarazanas Market. It should be noted that it is one of the oldest in the town, being located in the heart of the city. There we can find fish, meat, fruit, vegetables, spices, honey, bakeries…if what you are looking for is not there…it doesn’t exist 😂
Next, we will go for a walk through the historic center of the city. Here we will be able to see the Cathedral (entering the gardens and grounds of the Cathedral is free) and we will walk through the Alcazaba, Roman Theater and Gibralfaro Castle.
After so much walking, does your appetite open up? Don’t worry, Malaga’s gastronomy has a lot to offer you… Have you heard of “CHIRINGUITOS“? In these restaurants located right on the beach, you can taste one of the most famous dishes for which Malaga is known… the ESPETOS! Delicious grilled sardines will delight your palate….😋
And now that? Don’t let yourself fall asleep after eating because there is still a lot to do! 😎
What better than walking along the sunny promenade of La Malagueta until you reach MUELLE 1. This place commonly known as the port of the capital, is home to many activities, such as: boating, seeing the Malaga Lighthouse, giving eat the fish, go shopping, visit the Pompidou museum…
What do you want to do now? Shall we snack? Ummm here in the city the famous CASA MIRA ice creams will not leave anyone indifferent. With more than 20 types of ice cream flavor, you won’t know where to start. Heading to Calle Larios!
And while we’re here, why not do some shopping… On this main street you’ll find all the shops you can imagine: clothes, gifts, souvenirs, wine, food…
Well, now for home, a shower and back to the street! Shall we cover something? In La Tranca, Las Merchanas or Casa Lola you will enjoy incredible patatas bravas or montaditos…you honestly have to try them…you will never want to stop eating them!
And finally… a little music! 🕺🏻 Do you like reggaeton, flamenco, pop music, commercial? Malaga has it all! In the center of the city you will find both terraces to have a quiet drink, discos to dance or pubs to chat with friends.
