Christmas Eve is approaching and the distribution of gifts among our most loved ones. But are you more inclined to give each other gifts on Three Kings’ Day or on Santa Claus’s Day? 🎄

In Andalusia and the capital of Malaga, the traditional day for giving gifts is January 6. All Malaga residents begin this celebration with the traditional Christmas Float parade. This parade full of costumes, Christmas music such as Christmas carols, dances and songs enlivens all the streets of Malaga (especially the main ones such as the main Alameda, Marqués de Larios street, Paseo del Parque…). The entire city center is filled with people and children eager to collect all the jelly beans and mainly candy that the Christmas floats throw. 🐪

When this parade is over, families gather for dinner and everyone goes home to sleep! This is because the next day when the little ones in the house wake up…they will find the lap of the Christmas tree or the Nativity scene full of toys and gifts! That’s why this day, January 6, is so special. 🎁

On January 6, the day will begin with gifts, trying these new toys and the famous Roscón de Reyes. This cake filled with cream and which hides figurines of the kings and a bean (whoever gets the bean will have to pay for the roscón the following year!) becomes the main attraction of the day.

If you want to enjoy Three Kings Day, don’t forget to follow all these steps! What will they give you this year?
