This fantastic enclave is located between the municipality of Ardales, Álora and the municipality of Antequera (all of them located in the province of Málaga).

How to get to Caminito del Rey? (From Malaga capital)

  • Autobús: The municipality of Ardales is connected by different intercity bus routes that can be taken in the center of Malaga or directly at the capital’s Bus Station. This bus can drop you off either at the northern entrance to the gorge or in the southern part.
  • Tren: First of all, you will have to go to the María Zambrano Station (Vialia, Malaga capital) and take the train to the “El Chorro – Caminito del Rey” station.
  • Coche: It is the fastest option for those who have their own vehicle. Furthermore, in the vicinity of this route you can find parking (marked parking) and you can leave your car around this enclave (in El Chorro).

Visiting hours

The time to take the official tour of the Gaitanes Gorge is from Monday to Sunday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 p.m. or 5:20 p.m. (always depending on the season/station in which we are and, above all, the weather of the month. ).
