Spring begins in Malaga! Did you know that in Malaga there is one of the largest botanical gardens in all of Andalusia? 🌷

“Jardín Botánico La Concepción” is one of the best-known tourist attractions of this city, having been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) in 1943. This beautiful place was born from the love between Amalia Heredia Livermore and Jorge Loring Oyarzábal.

These marquises during their honeymoon trip raised the idea of creating a garden in which to preserve all possible plant species. In this way, there are currently more than 50,000 specimens and more than 5,000 varieties of plants that make up this garden (from Australia, Africa, America…) 🌍

There is so much variety and different landscapes in one place that you cannot miss it!

Now in spring it is the perfect time since the flowers begin to sprout, and each corner is completely different. In addition, the tropical climate that Malaga hosts makes it easier for all unique species to adapt. Fun fact, there are some species that have been on the planet for more than 250 million years! 🌵

To facilitate the course of this visit, at the entrance to the garden we can find a map with all the points that will have to be visited along the route. As well as indications in the most important places, explanations, descriptions and images that will make this experience even more unique. Also on its official website, you will be able to see all the special activities that take place in this living museum (visit the garden with your pet, light show, guided tours…) as well as the prices, the exact address, how to access…

Don’t wait any longer and discover all the plants in the world on the Costa del Sol!
