We are in Easter! These days (from April 2 to 9) in the capital of Malaga every day is cause for celebration 🎉

During this week the streets of the city become a museum. Everyone will be able to watch the processions and parades from “Domingo de Ramos” to “Domingo de Resurrección”.

Domingo De Ramos procession, Malaga (Mercado Atarazanas)

Throughout Andalusia it is known as the Holy Week that generates the most cultural interest, along with Seville, compared to the other provinces.

The smell of incense, the typical clothing of each brotherhood/fraternity (such as the hood, medals, shields…) and the devotion of the people flood the city with a unique and incomparable spirit that can only be enjoyed this week 🤩

To enjoy this experience to the fullest, on the official website of Malaga you can purchase the brochure for free, which lists the schedules, streets and routes that these processions will follow (in Spanish, English, French and German).

And finally we cannot forget the typical sweet of this festivity, the “Torrija”. The most desired gastronomic claim by all people these days consists of a slice of bread covered in honey or sugar… Prepare your palates because this sweet is from another world! 😋
