Did you know that the only lighthouse with a female name is in Malaga?

Located in the port of Malaga (Pier 1) we find the only lighthouse in all of Spain with the female name “La Farola“. This great tall tower, with its powerful light, helps all Malaga sailors and visitors to find their way around the coast of the capital.

La Farola, in addition to being unique and exclusive to the capital, is one of the main emblems of the city and highly appreciated by all the inhabitants. Several reforms have been carried out in it, always improving to facilitate the guidance of navigators at night, but still trying to preserve the original.

Over time, it has become one of the main tourist attractions in the city, growing around it and expanding the area with bars and restaurants such as Angus, Cambara, Cervecería la Sureña, the Pompidou Museum and nautical boat activities such as Flye Blue Malaga.

If you come to visit Malaga do not forget to visit its port. There you will find many shows, as well as a market where you will see the locals make unique pieces from the capital and above all… LA FAROLA! We will wait for you!
