Discover the only English Protestant cemetery in the city. This mysterious and spectacular place in its beginnings was a botanical garden with views of the sea (since it is positioned a few meters from Malagueta Beach). Currently, this enclave is equipped with different monuments, exotic species of vegetation and tombs with modernist, classical and neo-Gothic characteristics.

The cemetery can be accessed via Paseo Reding. This access is through a metallic gate (Avenida de Príes) and surrounded by robust pillars set with sculptures of lions made of marble. Attached to the gate, we find a small neo-Gothic building (the guard’s house) that is currently used as a ticket office where anyone can buy their ticket to visit this open-air museum.

On its own website you can discover the history of this fascinating place, as well as its upcoming events, schedules, rates and its teaching area.

Below we leave you some of the events that will take place at the English Cemetery:

  • September 8: Tribute to QUEEN
  • September 9: Tribute to ABBA
  • September 10: Rondálla duo recital
  • September 15: Flamenco open in Malaga
